CAMP SITE / FACILITIES

Do you have accommodation on site?

Yes.


How much do I have to pay for my accommodation?

Charge £33.74 per week unless gas and electricity consumption is more than average.


Do you have a canteen on site?

No, but we have a farm shop.


What is the minimum age for living on site?

18 years old


Can I have visitors in the camp site?

Yes – only with the camp site supervisor’s approval and written consent.


How many people in the caravan?

Between 4 and 6.


Can I smoke in the caravan?

No.


WORK INFORMATION

How many days per week are we working?

You will usually work five-six days per week, crop, weather and customer demand permitting.


How many hours per week are we working?

Average of 40 hours per week.


What jobs do we do?

Mainly harvesting (picking) or husbandry (crop maintenance) work.


What time do we start working in the morning?

Very early – varies – 05:00 onwards.


What jobs can I apply for on-line?

Only picking job-key staff jobs are advertised and offered to those on-site.


GENERAL INFORMATION

What do I need to bring?

What to bring:

- Waterproof jacket, trousers and boots (available for purchase from the farm shop)

- Sleeping bag and bedding- ID, Work permit

- £50 for the first week

- Alarm clock

- Strong work ethic

Can I bring my car?

No.


What papers do I need to bring?

ID, Work Permit for Bulgarians and Romanians, NI,  UK Bank Account , P45 if coming from another job during that financial year.


How long do I need to come for?

Minimum of 4 months.


Do I need to speak English?

It will be useful but not obligatory.
